Dianna Chia
Principal Consultant and Founder

Dianna has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality and spa industries. She has held both senior management and consultant positions for five-star hotel groups and wellness organizations in Asia, Middle East and Europe. Read More


Prior to establishing her consultancy business, she was Head of Business Unit who spearheaded Asia's largest luxury and award winning spa - the 50,000-sq-ft Amrita Spa by Raffles International, and opened Amrita spa for Raffles The Plaza (now known as Fairmont Singapore) and Swisshotel Stamford in Singapore. She also established the opening set up and training of the super luxurious Amrita Spa in the Raffles Hotel. Dianna also provided corporate support on opening plans and documentation for the Amrita Spas in Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor, Siem Reap, Raffles Hotel le Royal, Phnom Penh and Raffles Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten (now known as The Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten).


Dianna's career included working with few prominent spas and hospitality groups. Dianna was headhunted by St Gregory Spas and went on to manage the St Gregory Marine Spa, Grand Plaza Hotel Singapore, Aroma Spa (JV with St Gregory Spa) Conrad Hotel Singapore. She also spearheaded the expansion plan for St Gregory Therapeutic Spa, Novena Square Singapore.  While in Hong Kong, she worked with a day spa and consulting group and restructured the entire operations and business strategies of the spa and product distribution divisions. Dianna’s hospitality career included the Shangri-la Hotels and Resorts properties in Singapore, Hong Kong and Myanmar and as Project Consultant to Edsa Shangri-la in Philippines. She also worked with Ascott Group (formerly known as Scotts Holdings) and managed all front of the house operations, all guests contact and food and beverage departments.


Dianna is a certified hospitality and spa trainer. She holds various certifications and international diplomas including ITEC Diploma UK in Anatomy, Physiology and Body Massage, ITEC Diploma UK in Aesthetics Therapy and is also certified in WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA).


Having served as an executive committee member for Spa Association of Singapore (SAS), curricula development committee for Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) Singapore, Dianna also served as competition judging panel committee for ITE. She plays several active roles in setting and endorsing curriculum and skill assessment as well as in broadening spa education in both Singapore and in the international industry. Most recently, she assists in the ceritification of therapists under the government WDA's WSQ qualifications as the Singapore Spa Institute.

 

 


Dr Irene Ernst
Medical Consultant

Dr Ernst works closely with Spa Innovations to provide professional recommendations on medical related spa issues. Read More

A German citizen, Dr Ernst received her doctorate "Magna cum Laude" and has been operating her medical practice since 1982, specialising in cosmetic dermatology and skin care, laser treatment, internal medicine and cardiology, as well as herbal and alternative medicine.

As an active lecturer and trainer, Dr Ernst serves as a member and Academic Advisor to Ferie Universitat Berlin. She is also an Assistant Professor in Cosmetology at the Tuland University, New Orleans and as a regular guest speaker at the WHO sponsored institutre of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing. She is engaged as consultant to Shiseido Japan, Carita France and Galderma Germany.

With a passion for writing, Dr Ernst owns and publishes the monthly magazine Diplomatic Magazine and had co-authored in the International Spa Guide published in Germany. She also appeared on several TV talk shows, radio programs, news and several medical, health, beauty and wellness publications.

Dr Ernst is the preferred doctor for several embassies in Berlin and had served as a Medaire Doctor for Singapore Airlines, Qantas and British Airways.

 

 

Dr Brian F Walker
Medical Consultant
MB, ChB, MRCGP

A British citizen now residing in Hong Kong, he has spent more than 20 years working in various countries and has held hospital positions in geriatric medicine, internal medicine, cardiology, gastroenterology, psychiatry, obstetrics, gynaecology and intensive care.


He has worked as a general practitioner in United Kingdom and single-handedly set up a general practice in Germany providing a full range of services including forensic duty for the state police and allopathic and holistic therapies like western herbal medicine, clinical ecology, neural therapy and ear acupuncture.


In Russia, he developed and implemented a programme of learning to enable local doctors to provide typical western general practice services to the community.


In Hong Kong, he supervised a team of doctors and nurses who were providing on-site care to 20,000 workers at the Chek Lap Kok Airport construction site. Later, he started a medical consulting firm and was engaged as Medical Director of United Asia Medical Network.


Dr Walker is currently developing a novel medical business combining allopathic and alternative medicine. His focus is on holistic therapies which take into account the true nature of mankind: that we are a vibrational being with body and soul, living in an environment which is absorbed, inhaled or ingested. Environmental medicine plays a key role, a technology he is pioneering in Asia, to which he has added therapies for anti-aging and physical therapy such as massage, osteopathy and aromatherapy. He offers homeopathy, naturopathy and psychology within his new clinic.


He has lectured in universities and medical schools in Germany, Russia and Hong Kong. He is a regular presenter on RTHK radio in Hong Kong and has appeared on local television and publications. He is fluent in German and English languages.

 

 

Shirley Chong
Business Development

A highly qualified and experienced Sales Consultant in the travel and MICE industries, Shirley brings with her more than 13 years of experiences into the wellness industry.   Read More

With an impressive sales and marketing background in the travel trade with companies like Diners World Travel, Siam Express Travel and Vacation Planners coupled with invaluable experiences as a cafe owner, a property realtor and project advisor to Girls Brigade Singapore for Cambodia, Shirley’s exposure has given her extraordinary opportunities to handle not only sales and marketing roles but also business development roles. 


In the capacity as Sales Consultant and Accounts Manager in the travel trade, Shirley dealt mainly with MNCs and international corporate clientele which required extensive travels around the world. Her multi-cultural experiences add new dimensions to the extensive spa consultancy and management service Spa Innovations has to offer. Shirley’s keen interest in the wellness and her business oriented personality is an asset for business development roles in the company.


Shirley is responsible to create new partnerships with reputable organisations and to bring relevant and desirable benefits to our clients and investors.

 

 

Andrew Lim Chih
Communications

Andrew has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies from Edith Cowan University, Perth. Andrew obtained credits for the modules – Writing, Journalism and Public Relations. Read More


Andrew has provided copywriting and marketing services to major clients like United Overseas Bank, Nanyang Technological University, Cerebos Pacific Limited, Best World, Pinedale/HPL, AsiaMalls, Singapore Media Academy, The Singapore Mint and Singapore Post, to name a few. In less than three years, Andrew has amassed an impressive portfolio with some of his works appearing in major newspapers and magazines. Most recent of which are ad campaigns for Century Square, BRAND’S Essence of Chicken and Avance.


Prior to this, Andrew worked for SMRT Corporation as a Corporate Communications Executive. There, Andrew was the editor of the company’s bi-monthly newsmagazine, FORWARD. Andrew also wrote press releases and speeches, and copy for the company’s various collaterals.


A “creative spark”, Andrew has an interesting career history, which includes a two-year stint at Television Corporation of Singapore as Scriptwriter. Andrew left showbiz in 1996 to pursue a career in public relations and marketing communications, which he has not looked back since.

 

 

Grace Goh
IT Marketing

Having graduated from Edith Cowan University, Perth with a Bachelor of Business with Honours degree and holds a Diploma from Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), Grace began her career and her own company in web marketing in 2002. Read More


That is after spending some years in the Advertising & Promotions field with the high-end audio visual industry.


Combining Marketing acumen and a flair for Information Technology has helped Grace to provide to clients effective web marketing strategies that brings results. She has managed a portfolio of clients from various industries and government sector like Spinelli Coffee, Clear Channel Singapore, Accord Logistics, City Square Mall (JB), B&W Bakery, SIA Engineering & Company, Embassy of the Republic of Turkey (Singapore), the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports.


Two years ago, Grace joined partnership with an US incorporated firm SpeechDesk Inc to offer a specialized form of web design – Web Accessibility and Usability which ensures that websites are accessible for all (in conformance to the W3C Guidelines). The company has been educating users and website owners on the benefit of having a website that is accessible these two years. Clients include The Disabled People’s Association Singapore, National Council of Social Services, The Disability Portal (by the DIRC) and Special Olympics Singapore.


Between work and personal time, Grace is also the Vice President of her University’s Alumni where much of the effort is spent on the marketing and also tutors students from the Tourism & Hospitality School in the area of Marketing Research and Marketing Planning.

 

 


Oliver Teo
Manpower Development
Oliver’s career evolves around human resource and people development in the last 10 years.  He specialises in Service Excellence, Communication, Presentation, Train-the-trainer, Coaching and Productivity related training and also in developing training systems for organisations.Read More

He has trained for The Singapore Police Force, Housing & Development Board, Ministry of Trade and Industry, SBS Transit, Econ Healthcare, The Soup Kitchen, River Valley Serviced Apartments and BM Nagano among others.


Prior to joining Spa Innovations, Oliver was Training Manager with J & R Bossini Pte Ltd. He was responsible for development of programmes, training and value systems. He was licensed to train “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” and has instituted an “After Action Review” culture in the Company. He assisted the company in attaining the Approved Training Centre (ATC) status for teaching the Post NITEC in Customer Relations to its employees.


As the Human Resource’s Learning & Development Manager of Metro Parking Pte Ltd, Oliver was responsible for the full spectrum of HRD & HRM activities, the strategic planning of the HRD / HRM functions and development of blueprints and on-the-job training systems.


Oliver also worked as Training Executive with SAFRA Resort and Country Club and helped the club achieve the prestigious Certified On-The-Job Training Centre (COJTC) status awarded by the ITE and was the OJT administrator for the club. He was involved in developing blueprints for frontline operations and is the liaison between the ITE and the club and has introduced Critical Enabling Skills Training (CREST) to all non-executive staff. The club was awarded “Gold Collared Workers”, a recognition accorded by SPRING.


At Trans Island Bus Services, Oliver was Training Officer responsible for service and productivity related training as well as the profitability of its Training Centre.  He is also a Certified QC Judge by SPRING Singapore for the company’s Quality Circle program.


Oliver holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of London and diplomas in Training and Development from the University of Leicester and the Singapore Institute of Management and in Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.  He is Certified Industry Trainer by the Institute of Technical Education (ITE).

 

 


Victoria Grace Tan

Prior to joining Aramsa Spas as their Spa Manager for the opening of its flagship spa in Singapore most recently, Victoria has held senior managerial position in Raffles Spa Academy as their Director of Operations and has an impressive track record in business development. She also held operational and training roles for Sothys Singapore as their Institute Manager, London Research Skin Centre as their Chief Operating Officer and Aesthetics Marketing Asia as their Regional Training Manager.


Victoria’s extensive work experiences involve training of many beauty and spa trade bodies, well respected spa educational institutions and the general public throughout Asia. She also conducted and evaluated educational and skills programmes and examinations for the spa industry.


A go getter, Victoria brings to her position an impressive list of qualifications such as diplomas from CIDESCO International (Switzerland), the ITEC UK, and World Masters UK. 

 

 


Jessamyn Hoh
Hospitality Services
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Mgmt from Purdue University, USA, Jessamyn spent 13 years holding various management positions in Housekeeping and Food & Beverage at 5 star hotels in Singapore. Read More

With an entrepreneurial streak in her, Jessamyn founded Amahs On Wheels Pte Ltd in 1999, bringing ‘5 star’ housekeeping services to homes and service apartments in Singapore.  The company has since served and delighted thousands of homes and service apartment owners with this unique service. The company’s success has won recognition from the media on a regular basis. The main contributing factor to the company’s success is Jessamyn’s personalized training program offered through a training academy which she subsequently established. The training academy offers certifiable courses under the National Skills Recognition System (NSRS) supported by the Workforce Development Agency in Singapore.  Jessamyn also sat on the industry skills standard committee responsible for developing the curriculum for the courses.


Jessamyn is a certified WDA trainer with advance certification in Training and Assessment.  Her passion for training has her offering her services at Raffles Academy as well, conducting and assessing various hotel housekeeping courses for them.

 

 


Michele Lee
Sports & Recreation

 

Michele Lee has more than a decade of experience in developing and implementing health and fitness programmes. Michele trained in physical education at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and will soon complete a Masters degree in Applied Sport and Exercise Science from Staffordshire University, UK. Her academic interests centre on physical activity for women and girls, both at a programme development and at a policy level.


Michele is also certified by the Wright Foundation, UK and is qualified to work as a specialised exercise consultant to populations with medical conditions such as diabetes, asthma, obesity, osteoporosis and arthritis.


Michele’s practical experience in developing fitness programmes spans from the recreational to the competitive level. As a physical education teacher, she taught at the United World College in Singapore and at an international school in the UAE. She also served as an officer in the Singapore military for seven years.


Michele was a member of the Singapore National Women’s Football team for 8 years and captained the team for 3 years. She competed in regional and international football competitions. She is currently an active participant in triathlons, biathlons and marathons and has regularly placed in the Top 10 in her age group.
